What are the common types of polyacrylamide?

The common types of polyacrylamide are: anionic, cationic, and nonionic polyacrylamide. It is a linear water-soluble polymer and one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymers. It is mainly used for high-efficiency Flocculants, thickeners, paper strengthening agents and liquid drag reducers are widely used in water treatment, papermaking, petroleum, coal, mining and metallurgy, geology, textile, construction and other industrial sectors. The role of cationic polyacrylamide in sewage treatment:

Cationic polyacrylamide is a linear polymer compound, suitable for suspensions with negative charges and organic substances. Because it has a variety of active groups, it can form affinity and adsorption with many substances to form hydrogen bonds. It mainly flocculates negatively charged colloids, has the functions of turbidity removal, decolorization, adsorption, and adhesion, and is suitable for organic colloid content in dyeing, papermaking, food, construction, metallurgy, mineral processing, coal powder, oil fields, aquatic product processing and fermentation, etc. High wastewater treatment, especially suitable for dehydration treatment of urban sewage, municipal sludge, paper sludge and other industrial sludge.

Cationic polyacrylamide has good water solubility and can be completely dissolved in cold water. A small amount of addition can achieve a great flocculation effect. Generally only need to add 0.01~10ppm (0.01~10g/m3) to fully play its role. Using cationic polyacrylamide products and inorganic flocculants (polyferric sulfate, polyaluminum chloride, iron salt, etc.) at the same time can show greater effects. It has the functions of clarification and purification, sedimentation promotion, filtration promotion, thickening and so on.

1. With unique decolorization ability, it is mainly used in the decolorization treatment of high-chroma wastewater in dye factories. The applicable dyes are reactive, acidic and disperse dyes. The decolorization rate of wastewater can reach more than 95%, and the removal rate of COD is between 40-70%.

2. It can also be used for the treatment of industrial wastewater such as textile, printing and dyeing, and ink.

3. Sludge dehydration: It can effectively dehydrate sludge before it enters the filter press. During dehydration, large flocs will be produced, which will not stick to the filter cloth and will not disperse during press filtration. The mud cake will be thicker and the dehydration efficiency will be higher. The moisture content of the cake is below 80%.

4. It is used for the treatment of domestic sewage and organic wastewater. Cationic polyacrylamide is positively charged in compatible or alkaline media, so it is very effective for flocculation and sedimentation of negatively charged suspended particles in sewage and clarification. Such as production of grain alcohol wastewater, papermaking wastewater, wastewater from urban sewage treatment plants, beer wastewater, wastewater from monosodium glutamate plants, sugar wastewater, wastewater with high organic content, feed wastewater, textile printing and dyeing wastewater, etc., using cations is better than using anions, non-ions or The effect of inorganic salts is several times or tens of times higher, because this type of wastewater is generally negatively charged.

5. It is used as a flocculant for the treatment of tap water with river water as the water source. It has less dosage, good effect and low cost, especially when used in combination with inorganic flocculants. It will become tap water for the treatment of the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and other river basins Plant high-efficiency flocculant.

6. Water treatment in waterworks: Cationic polyacrylamide has the characteristics of less dosage, good effect, and low cost, and it has better effect when combined with inorganic flocculant.

Precautions for use:

1. Granular polyacrylamide cannot be directly added to the sewage. It must be dissolved in water before use, and then the aqueous solution is used to treat the sewage.

2. The water for dissolving granular polymers should be clean tap water, not sewage. Normal temperature water is enough, generally do not need to be heated. It dissolves very slowly when the water temperature is lower than 5°C. Increasing the water temperature increases the dissolution rate, but above 40°C will accelerate the degradation of the polymer and affect the use effect. Generally tap water is suitable for preparing polymer solutions. Water with strong acid, strong alkali and high salt content is not suitable for preparation.

3. The concentration of the polymer solution is recommended to be 0.1%-0.3%, that is, add 1g-3g polymer powder to 1 liter of water.
